Chemainus

Water Withdrawal

The Municipality of North Cowichan’s Chemainus water system withdraws surface water from Bannon Creek / Holyoak Lake from June 15-Oct. 15 and from groundwater wells adjacent to the Chemainus River the remainder of the year.  The Chemainus water system has nearly 2,500 connections, serving approximately 5,839 people.

The olive and green lines on the graph show the 2015 and 2016 weekly water use for the Chemainus water system.  The blue line and shaded area shows the weekly water use to date for 2017. The graph is automatically updated as new data are entered by the Municipality of North Cowichan.

NOTE:  Data are unavailable between June 15 and Sept. 19, 2016 due to well testing in the Chemainus water system.
